Biography and Research Interests
Daniel Feuerstack is a Researcher of the SALTUS! Group Responsible Artificial Intelligence at Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS), University of Freiburg.
His interests lie in the exploration of regulatory approaches in the field of Artificial Intelligence on both a national and international level with a focus on the legal and ethical implications of Human Rights law. He is particularly interested in the role of transnational corporations in international law, including their responsibility in the field of AI.
As part of his law studies, he wrote a seminar paper on the subject “What obligations under international law for states and corporations in the field of Artificial Intelligence already exist today?”.
Daniel Feuerstack is also a Researcher for the AI-Trust Project which examines the challenges of interpretable Artificial Intelligence systems for trustworthy applications in medicine. There, his research focuses on the legal and ethical implications for interpretable AI.
